Bold shirts, bold connections — it all started right here.

How Texas Hospitality Turns Strangers into Friends

Recently while on a cruise we met our special friends Que & Duane Bishop who shared with us their love for the USA, after seeing our colorful MAGA freedom loving outfits, topped with our bling TRUMP HATS.

This is the story of Que Dam was born in Cholon, a vibrant Chinese community nestled in Vietnam, in the year 1951.

Every stranger has a story waiting to be told.

Growing up amidst the shadow of communism's ascent to power, Que found herself the eldest among nine siblings.

Life in Cholon was fraught with uncertainty, marked by frequent government-imposed curfews that confined families to the confines of their modest homes for days on end. Electricity, a luxury enjoyed sparingly, added another layer of complexity to daily life, as its availability was restricted to specific days and hours.

During one particularly harrowing three-month stretch, Que and her family found themselves sleeping on the floor as bullets peppered their home, a stark reminder of the perilous times they inhabited. Encounters with the Viet Cong, the communist insurgents, were a chilling reality, with armed patrols prowling the streets, extracting information from terrified civilians.

The specter of government intrusion loomed large, with midnight raids instilling fear as armed agents combed through homes in search of contraband or dissent. Que vividly recalls a narrow escape, when a temporary relocation spared her family from a tragic fate that befell neighbors whose home was struck in their absence.

Seeking refuge from the oppressive regime, Que eventually found sanctuary in the arms of Duane who served during the wartime. They married and returned to the USA after exchanging lifelong vows.

From strangers to soulmates — their story captured our hearts.

Over the span of five decades, they toiled tirelessly, embracing the ethos of hard work to provide for their family of three children. From humble beginnings to serving as a dedicated Starbucks barista for three decades, Que epitomized the immigrant spirit, embodying the values of perseverance and dedication.

Yet, Que's journey is not just one of personal triumph; it is a testament to her unwavering love for her adopted homeland. She is a fervent patriot, deeply troubled by the trajectory of the nation under what she perceives as misguided leadership. Fearful of encroaching tyranny and socialism, Que staunchly advocates for the preservation of American ideals.

Central to Que's concerns is the porous state of the nation's borders, a vulnerability she believes jeopardizes national security. She laments the halting of border fence construction and the relaxation of regulations, viewing it as a perilous invitation for nefarious elements to infiltrate the country.

In her unwavering support for "We the People" and the fight against the erosion of American values, Que finds solace in rallying behind a leader she deems as the beacon of hope. President Donald J. Trump represents a steadfast guardian of American greatness, a leader destined to restore the nation's former glory.

As Que stands resolute in her convictions, she echoes the sentiment of countless Americans who yearn for a return to the principles that once defined this great land. With unwavering resolve, Que remains steadfast in her belief that with the right leadership, America will once again reclaim its mantle as the shining beacon of freedom and opportunity.
